    Sounds good
    Very good mic

Cons

    Divisive looks
    Loose fitting
    Slightly heavy

Overview

Using big 50mm drivers and an extended frequency response range the orsair Void Elite provide pretty decent sound backed up by a great microphone, so that is the essentials done right at a decent price.

Two models are available in USB and in Wireless with about £20 difference between them, both available in black or white, but the weird shape will split opinion on the design.

In-depth

First off the design and comfort. The pads here are covered with a very soft memory foam cushion and there is a nice wide headband made from plastic but also nicely finished with a breathable microfibre cloth of the same material covering the memory foam cups. The headband does have an adjustable strap and markers and overall feels pretty robust.

The headset is a little heavy at around 400g but the aforementioned design and materials make it pretty comfortable to wear. The major problem with the fit is that it is pretty loose around the head and this has been a common complaint. This means you get audio leaking out of the cups, its not the end of the world, but it is worth noting.

The Corsair VOID Elite use a peculiar shaped set of cups, covered with Corsairs logo providing some fancy lighting on the side, as well as the red/green lighting around the mic which changes depending on the mic being muted or not. Buttons are generally well placed and feel solid so it should be a breeze to change your settings without thinking about it

The Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless connects using a 2.4 GHz USB RF dongle and that is the only method it supports and the headsets micro-USB port is only for charging—there is no wired option.

Generally speaking the sound is overall pretty good, has a nice low end without being too prominent and the rest of the frequency is clear and natural sounding. However, the annoying issue of them fitting rather loosely does mean that you can lose some of that sound with it leaking out.

For music this headset is certainly adequate, the boost in the midrange means that some mid-instruments and vocals might come through a little different than they should but overall the general reproduction of sound is pretty reasonable. For gaming this is certainly a good sound profile to have and you will enjoy the immersion in your gaming experience with clarity

So overall decent audio, good microphone, about 16hrs batter on the wireless version and it comes in at a reasonable price. We'd recommend trying a set on and if they don't fit well then look somewhere else. However if they fit well and you like the design its a really good price for a headset like this.
