Overview

The The Logitech G Pro X is often touted as one of the best gaming headsets you can buy, its pricey but the solid construction and decent sound are said to be worth the price.

This LIGHTSPEED wireless version at about £220 its a pretty expensive headset, does feature plenty of custmisation and there are little by way of downsides on the audio in both the cups and the mic.

In-depth

With a very similar design to the The Logitech G Pro X the Lightspeed is constructed of a robust metal frame and big thick padding to keep the comfort levels up and this metalic consutrction gives it a clean premium look which you would expect when dropping this amount of cash.

They do feel a little on the heavy side but the padding means comfort wont be an issue and its the price you pay for a robus design. The headset feels very secure on your head and is glasses friendly so getting a good seal to contain the sound is not a problem!

The Logitech connects with a USB dongle using 2.4 Ghz RF delivering sound without any real latency. The headset controls are also pretty standard giving you volume, power and mic mute button in an easy to find area of the earcup.

Logitech also makes use of its GHub app allowing you to delve deep into the customisation options of this headset and set it to how you want it.

Battery life isnt too bad either, while its nothing to shout about getting a good 20 hours out of it shouldn't be a problem and the USB-C charging means that you aren't waiting too long to get it charged back up to full power as a full recharge takes around two hours.

Comfort wise the Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed is super comfortable over long periods of time, if you are one of those spending an entire day gaming then this headset might just be for you. The sound itself is also really good and features a relatively natural frequency response.

This means no super boomy low end muddying up the rest of the sound and instead you get a nice clear sounding response from the audio which is brilliant not only for gaming and hearing detail, but also if you are going to be listening to music on this headset you will not be disappointed.

It does also feature surround sound on the PC and it works quite well, like most headsets this doesn't transfer to consoles as often you find the surround sound is dealt with the software and this isn't usually possible to install on a console. Also like most headsets it offers reasonable isolation meaning fine for home use but might be a problem in a noisy environment.

The mic is pretty standard and in some cases a bit lacking in the bass. However combine this with the Blue Vo!ce software and you can set your own custom EQ or choose from the predefined ones which make the sound you get from the mic much better.

Overall if you want a good sounding headset that is built to last and you have the money to drop on it this is definitely one to consider.
