Overview

The Logitech G432 gaming headset is the updated to the Logitech G430 which was a very popular headset and this keeps most of the DNA from that headset.

The G432 might feel a little bit dated in the word of £200 premium headphones, but at around £50 with 7.1 surround from 50mm drivers this is a decent relative inexpensive option.

In-depth

We always have to remember we are looking at a pretty inexpensive wired headset here so given that it should come as no surpise the Logitecg G432 is made mostly from plastic with a metal strip in the headband. This much plastic does give a bit of a cheap feel but its also quite lightweight.

Comfort wise its actually reasonable, the lightweight means you can keep it on your head for hours, however the harder foam around the cups means people with glasses might struggle to get a decent seal which would cause audio to leak out.

As with most headsets you have got some controls on the cups with a volume dial and the microphone uses a simple "flip up to mute" function. This keeps the whole thing pretty straight forward and basic which isnt a bad thing.

The G432 is a wired headset and comes with a standard 3.5mm plug and it does also come with a 3.5 to USB so if you prefer to connect via USB that is also an option.

Gaming wise this is a pretty solid offering at this level, the surround sound works with the Logitech G-HUB app so long as you use the USB connection and there are no complaints about it. Like most headsets the surround sound will not work on console.

The overall sound from this headset is reasonable for the price, it is slightly boosted in the low end but it isn't massively overdone like other headsets sometimes do. So while the boom of grenades or gunfire can drown out some other sounds its not too bad.

This boosted low end does obviously affect music and can sometimes slightly muddy the audio, again because it is just a bit of a boost on the lows this shouldnt be too bad but we do prefer a completely natural sound. Along with average isolation we would say the sound quality is good for this price range

He mic could be better too, its not the worst but its pretty far from the best. It should work relatively clearly anot not give you any issues but it certainly isnt in the lush sounding category.

If you want a basic wired headset that will perform well. There are other options out there for the same price but this isnt a bad one.
